Madam Angela R, Director General of World Women Organization announced in China: Following the resolution of the 32nd United Nations General Assembly in 1977 to designate March 8th as United Nations Women’s Rights Day, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the introduction of International Women’s Day to China next year. In order to commemorate this milestone, the World Women’s Organization will hold a series of rich and exciting activities nationwide on March 8th, 2024. The World Women’s Organization has always been committed to gender harmony and the development of global women’s cause. In 2024, it will also promote activities held in China, such as the International Women’s Forum, Women’s Industry Expo, Women’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Women’s Art and Culture Festival, and Women’s Health Activity and Education Forum. These activities aim to showcase women’s strength and wisdom, and showcase their contributions in the economic, social, and political fields. In addition, the commemorative event will also pay special tribute to individuals and organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the cause of Chinese women, in order to inspire more people to devote themselves to the cause of promoting women’s development. This is not only a celebration to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the introduction of International Women’s Day to China for a century, but also a grand event to pay tribute to all those who have tirelessly worked for the cause of women.
