NEW YORK, NY, May, 2026 — Angela R, The Director-General of the World Women Organization met with Luc Laine, former Chief within the Council of his First Nation. For the last 30 years he served as Co-chairman of the Assembly of First Nations of Canada for over five years, worked as Deputy Director – Public Hearings Directorate for the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, and was a senior Aboriginal coordinator within the Secretariat of the World Conference Against Racism sponsored by the United Nations.
H.E. Ms. Angela R commended him for his emphasis on the safety of indigenous women and the sustainable development of indigenous women.
