the World Women Organization successfully convened the Global Women Leadership Summit & Impact Award Ceremony on March 18, 2026, during CSW 70, under the theme “Advancing the SDGs Toward 2030.”

The summit brought together women leaders, changemakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, media professionals, policy advocates, and representatives from diverse sectors for a day of dialogue, recognition, and collaboration. Centered on women’s leadership and sustainable development, the event highlighted the essential role of women in shaping a more inclusive, equitable, innovative, and sustainable future.

The program focused on three key themes: Legal & Financial Justice, Capital Access & Investment Power, and Women Leading the Future Economy. Through keynote remarks, high-level panel discussions, and the Impact Award Ceremony, the summit underscored World Women Organization’s commitment to advancing practical solutions, strengthening women’s voices, and accelerating meaningful progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

The summit opened with check-in and networking, followed by remarks from global women leaders and advocates.

In her opening remarks, Angela R., Director-General of World Women Organization, emphasized that women’s leadership must be understood not as a symbolic agenda, but as a global priority for peace, development, justice, and shared prosperity. She noted that as the world moves toward 2030, the international community must accelerate collective action to ensure that women and girls are not only protected and included, but fully empowered to lead decision-making, shape institutions, drive innovation, and build resilient societies.

“Women’s leadership is not a side issue of development—it is central to the future of humanity,” Angela R. said. “When women are given equal access to rights, resources, capital, education, technology, and leadership opportunities, entire communities rise. The path to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals depends on our ability to transform commitments into action, and action into lasting impact.”

Angela R. further called on governments, businesses, civil society, and global partners to work together across borders and sectors to remove structural barriers, expand opportunities for women, and build a more inclusive global future. She affirmed that World Women Organization will continue to serve as a platform for dialogue, partnership, recognition, and action, bringing together leaders and changemakers committed to advancing women’s empowerment and sustainable development worldwide.

During the summit, Jing Zhao Cesarone, Executive Chair of the World Women Organization Global Women’s Leadership Summit delivered remarks on the critical importance of women’s leadership as a force for global transformation and lasting impact.

“We are here to shape the future,” said Jing Zhao Cesarone. “When women lead with vision, courage, and responsibility, we unlock the power to transform communities, nations, and the destiny of humanity.”

Speakers throughout the program addressed the importance of women’s leadership in governance, finance, education, technology, media, entrepreneurship, public health, and social impact. Their insights reflected a shared belief that women’s leadership is not only a matter of representation, but a driving force for ethical innovation, stronger communities, and long-term global progress.

Throughout the day, three panel discussions explored critical dimensions of women’s leadership and sustainable development. The first panel, “Global Women Leadership: Advancing the SDGs Toward 2030,” examined how women leaders can help accelerate action across communities and sectors. The second panel, “Capital Access & Investment Power,” focused on financial inclusion, investment opportunities, and the importance of expanding women’s access to resources. The third panel, “Women Leading Future Economy,” highlighted women’s contributions to innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, education, and emerging economic fields.

Following the summit sessions, World Women Organization hosted the Impact Award Ceremony to recognize outstanding individuals whose leadership, service, creativity, and commitment have contributed to women’s empowerment, social progress, innovation, sustainability, and global cooperation.

Award honorees were celebrated for their achievements across leadership, investment, brand development, innovation, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, culture, education, technology, digital transformation, and youth leadership. The recognition reflected the summit’s broader mission: to honor those who turn vision into action and create measurable impact across communities, industries, and generations.

Held during CSW 70, the Global Women Leadership Summit & Impact Award Ceremony served as both a platform for urgent global dialogue and a celebration of women already leading change. By convening voices across sectors and generations, World Women Organization reaffirmed that advancing the SDGs toward 2030 requires courageous leadership, ethical innovation, strategic collaboration, and sustained commitment.

The success of the summit sent a clear message: when women lead, communities grow stronger, institutions become more responsive, innovation deepens, and the future becomes more just, inclusive, and sustainable for all.

As the summit concluded, World Women Organization called on leaders, businesses, communities, and individuals around the world to continue championing inclusive leadership, expanding opportunities for women, and accelerating action toward the Sustainable Development Goals.

The message of the summit will continue to resonate beyond New York, inspiring a new era of shared progress shaped by women’s leadership, courage, and vision.
