Hi I am Mohd Rashid Bin Hasnon, Deputy Speaker Malaysian Parliament House of Representatives, and Chairperson of the World Women Organization. I am very pleased to participate in this traditional celebration of labor Thanksgiving day.
It has its roots in very old Japanese tradition, which is called (Minasai), this was the (moveable) harvest festival, during which the emperor would thank the god for all the food produced that particular year, offer rice and beans to the god and then eat some of the offerings himself. We also have many interesting and unique traditional cultures in Malaysia. Here I would like to convey my best wishes to all of you, we also hope to work together to promote women’s development and gender harmony, which we believe the key to achieving a harmonious society in this world. Thank you.
Congratulatory message from Angela R, Director-General of the World Women Organization:
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Japanese people. I am Angela, Director-General of the World Women Organization. I would like to send my gratitude to the Japanese royal family for giving the opening speech of this important celebration and my participation in it.
This is an important celebration of the ancient heritage of the Japanese royal family. It is a very important and meaningful traditional culture of (quanting) Temple, which has a closed relationship with the emperor’s family and prays for national peace and people’s harmony through the ancient Japanese traditional culture of (kagula) and sword.
On behalf of the World Women Organization, I sincerely wish Japan to establish deep and lasting friendly relationships with the world and promote a peaceful world together.
